Beautiful Talk

Abby's sunbeam teacher spoke in sacrament meeting today. She gave a beautiful testimony of the Savior's hands. They have the ability to heal every hurt, to bless every person. Sometimes I feel weighed down with the weariness of the world. So many dark things happen everyday. So many people suffer at the hands of others. Our hands can be instruments for the Lord or to injure. I am blessed that I do not have many memories of injury at the hands of others and I hope that I have learned to use mine for good. I also saw this quote today from Elder Oaks: "When we face seemingly insurmountable obstacles in the fulfillment of righteous responsibilities, we should remember that when we are involved in the work of the Lord, the obstacles before us are never as great as the power behind us. We should reach out and climb. Handholds will only be found by hands that are outstretched. Footholds are only for feet that are on the move."

Reaching for what is good, what is right, what is holy. I hope that my hands will find the next holds on that climb.
